The EOS Battery Tester, also known as the BMW EOS case, is a professional diagnostic case for battery packs from several generations of BMW electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. It measures state of health, cell balance, capacity and internal resistance across all modules at once, so you know what a pack is worth before you buy, repair or reuse it.

Supported battery generations
- Generation 3: found in early BMW i cars and early plug-in hybrids, such as the early BMW i3, the i8 and the first F-chassis and G-chassis hybrids.
- Generation 4: used mainly in later F-series and early G-series plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles, such as the 330e, 530e and X5 xDrive40e.
- Generation 5: found in modern G-series electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, such as the iX, i4, i7, iX3 and X5 plug-in hybrid.
